The ion beams used in the experiments are delivered by a 400 kV high voltage platform, with the designed beam intensities of 10 emA H⁺, 10 emA He⁺ and 2 emA He2+ that are produced with Electron Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) ion sources. JUNA accelerator had been successfully commissioned at underground lab and used for experimental investigations with a total operation time of more than 2,000 hours in early 2021. This paper will review the development of JUNA accelerator. High quality intense ion beam production, acceleration and transmission to the target area will be presented.
